Mr. Robot looks at Abethany
Ask Mr. Robot is a wonderful new thing for gear recommendation. What makes it wonderful is its simplicity and elegant design—at least of the iOS app, which is what I used to generate a profile for Abethany.
What does it recommend? And, more importantly, which dungeons should Abethany do most? Let’s find out!
Here’s how it weighs the stats…
This is for Arcane spec and seems like a good way of looking at things.
Let’s begin…
There are two problems with Abethany’s helmet. First, it’s the ugliest helmet in the game. Second, it’s kinda poor. It’s ninth on the list, after all.
Getting a new helm shouldn’t be horrifically difficult, two of them come from Bastion of Twilight, which Abethany finds herself in very occasionally, and one of them is from Zul’Aman, which is actually more frequent for her. This means the #2 headpiece is within reach.
Yikes, 13th? Ugh. Worse, all the good ones are in the Firelands, which Abethany has only been to once. Chances of picking up a shiny new main are slim.
4th, eh? That’s not too bad. And look, one of them is in the Bastion of Twilight. Hope remains!
Wooo! Already #1! Wooo! USA! USA!
Looks like I need to get me some of them new-fangled valor points!
I’d forgotten my shoulders were still blue. Blackwing Descent, Zul’Aman, and Bastion of Twilight are still visited. New shoulders should be coming before too long!
Abethany is walking around in the same cloak everyone who got Cataclysm is, just about. Unfortunately, Firelands participation is catastrophically low, making getting the other cloaks unrealistic. For now!
Again with the valor points! I’m assuming they grow on trees since so many are needed…
Abethany is a tailor, so she’ll just nip on down to the fabric store to get what she needs to make better gloves. Easy!
It’s good that Abethany’s belt is third best, since the Firelands is too hot right now.
OMG, more valor points? I’ll have to buy in bulk!
Her feet are as good as they’re going to get, for the foreseeable future.
Eww, 12? Um. I need to stop up the ring game. I thought I’d completed Calling the Ancients though. Mayhaps I’ve overlooked something along the way…
Other slot’s as bad as the first.
I’m surprised Teralion’s Mirror is so good—though I’ve no reason to think it’s poor. With Firelands being so popular nowadays, it seems there’d be more trinkets there.
Abethany should acquire #3, the Volcano card, later today in fact. But until then, Mr. Robot frowns at me for having a #6 trinket.
Conclusion
Bastion of Twilight has the most number of items, followed by Valor Points purchases, then Zul’Aman, and then Blackwing Descent. Fortunately, valor points will come along with everything else, eh?
Which is good, because apparently I’ll need a million of them…

If Abernathy is a tailor then you’ve also got the boots covered, yes?
Nope! That pattern is a drop in the Firelands. It’s BoE, but I’m usually poor, so I’m not likely to be able to buy it. One never knows, though! I’ll put it on my watch list.
Hello Abethany, Mr. Robot saw your post and asked me to drop in and say thanks for using his site, and then writing about it. Even though he’s a robot, he gets giddy every time he finds a new fan
Silly me, I forgot to mention that I’m one of the people who helps Mr. Robot with his website
It’s late, us humans need sleep.
